My name is Joel and thanks to my wife, I've become addicted to stamping and crafting in general. It all started with me doing the journaling and doodling on her scrapbook pages. As to the name 'Barf Snoodlefart' : it's my comical alter ego when I host games for a youth vacation bible school - and it kinda stuck!

Wow - it's WOYWW #240
Thanks to Julia's website, here, we can all snoop at each other's crafty workspaces. Below is my first submission for the free Journal52.com art journal workshop. I'm very much enjoying my conversion of a cheap-o composition book into an art journal!

WOYWW 234 and Happy Thanksgiving
Time again to join the WOYWW madness. Jump over here to learn all about it. I'm a tad late for a Wednesday...it's a little after midnight here in the USA so it's officially Thanksgiving Day! Below is something I was playing around with for a fall decoration and then decided to actually make a Christmas card - which I usually don't do until after this Holiday is over. Anyhow, I used the Christmas Cheer Cricut cartridge to cut out the 'ho ho ho' on black and colored metallic card stock, adhered them to some patterned paper we had from years past which I edged with gold embossing powder and stuck all that to a card. The fall leaf piece was a little more involved and I just don't feel like documenting all the steps! It was one of those things I just started for fun and it sort of evolved.

WOYWW 233 - The not-so-quite Angry Bird
Just in case WOYWW is unfamiliar to you, jump over to here to get a better understanding!
Anyhow, here is something cute I finished up from a colored turkey my 8 (and a half, as he reminds me) -year old son made. I call it the 'not-so-quite Angry Bird' because at first he used watercolor pencils to color in the stamped turkey image and later that evening he had to stay home with his mom while I and his older brother went out - this is where the angry part starts. See, he was complaining that his stomach hurt but suddenly felt better when he heard that his brother and I were going out. Well we left during a tantrum he started to throw (which, according to my wife lasted almost half an hour....and, his stomach did NOT feel any better). When I got home, he was sound asleep and I noticed he cut up his turkey image during a little fit of rage, apparently. However, he did leave a little post-it note next to it that stated 'I'm Sorry'. So, my heart melted and I decided to patch up the so-called Angry Bird and layer him on some patterns cut in our Cricut. This will always have a special meaning for us as we look at the silly smile on the Turkey's face knowing he could never really be an angry bird!

WOYWW#231
Take a gander over here to link back to the source of this worldwide crafty snoop.
Here is my workspace.
I'm creating an art journal from one large piece of watercolor stock. I like to give credit to a few websites that have fueled my interest in making this journal as well as ideas on using it:

WOYWW #230
Happy late Wednesday night here from the Reno/Sparks, NV, USA area!
Here is my very cluttered workspace for submission to the weekly workspace web hop, WOYWW. Read all about it here.
Some new goodies picked up (Tim Holtz remnant rubs and ribbon, Hero Arts typewriter stamp). Two new things I am trying out here. First, is a paper bag journal. I bought the 'my family' album at a local craft fair and figured out how to make the Christmas one I'm working on (also doing a web search for 'lunch bag journal' turned up a lot of helps, too). I give credit for the typewriter cutout to Tami Hartley's blog entry at: http://tamihartley.blogspot.com/2012/12/hero-arts-2013-catalog-blog-hop.html.

WOYWW 228
Finally posting a picture of my workspace this Wednesday (late night but it till counts!). Visit the source/meaning of this here. I seem not to do much crafty things when the weather is nice but I just missed contributing my workspace for so long even though I've been snooping around at some of yours!
So, enjoy - no need for me to go into any details as to what is what....it is what it is!
